Yahoo Mail Marks as Read and Returns to Inbox on Its Own

Emails marked as read when I open Inbox. SOLVED: caused by Outlook reading mail

equally the title says, when I open up my Thunderbird to read emails all the new emails are already marked as Read, non highlighted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and it is yet not marking new emails in a bold letter, but in normal light text, marked as read. I have given donation to Mozilla and I really can't believe how hard it was to get to this signal in getting some customer service . Please tell me why this is happening.

OK, I solved the problem of my emails being read before I read them. I had completely forgotten that I had setup my main email account in Outlook.com e-mail client. I hadn't opened that Outlook e-mail in many months considering I usually just become at that place to encounter my Hotmail account. For some reason even though I didn't go to Outlook.com to expect at my primary electronic mail business relationship, it was marker the emails as read in Thunderbird..??

I removed the main business relationship from Outlook.com client and the trouble was solved. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

By far the most common cause is email being received on a phone. Are yous getting mail on your phone? Does the problem occur if you turn the telephone off and receive postal service in Thunderbird that has not been downloaded to the phone.

Do you only read emails for that email address in Thunderbird on ane computer? For example do yous access the email business relationship via more than ane computer? Do y'all access those emails via webmail? Is it a POP or Imap mail business relationship?

If you simply access that email address via Thunderbird, so the mail should be auto 'unread' on download, but I wonder if at that place is some setting that could be effecting incoming mail service.... Thinking out aloud hither :) If you have enabled the adaptive junk mail controls, and then everything will probably exist going through the Junk filter controls, so lets start with that.

What setting do y'all have for Junk in Options? 'Card icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Security' > 'Junk' tab uncheck : 'Marker messages determined to be Junk equally read' click on 'OK'

I only take been reading mail from this email account from my one PC...I know what your saying though because I one time had the electronic mail account setup to view on my cell, but I didn't similar viewing them on my little cell phone so I eliminated the account in there...I did see then that if I read them on a cell it would mark them every bit Read on my PC, then I estimate that isn't the trouble.

The email account is IMAP. I went to the junk settings as you suggested and looked, the " Marking messages determined to exist Junk as read" was already unchecked..??

No clue what happened to cause this, I've been using Thunderbird and this email account for at least iv or 5 years and this problem just suddenly started. Perhaps its possible that someone has hacked into my email account and is reading all my emails but I have no idea why anyone would want to, at that place isn't anything special about them.

For some reason even though I didn't become to Outlook.com to look at my main e-mail account, it was marking the emails every bit read in Thunderbird..??
